JOYFUL & INCLUSIVE BELLY DANCE CLASSES

My belly dance classes are welcoming and friendly, whether you’re completely new to belly dance or have danced before. You’ll learn at your own pace in a supportive, judgement-free environment, developing your dance skills while building confidence and, most importantly, having fun.

Alongside learning to dance, you’ll discover more about the music, history, and cultural roots of this beautiful art form. You’ll also meet a friendly community of dancers who support and encourage one another, making it a lovely way to spend an hour each week.

2026 BELLY DANCE CLASSES IN ALDRIDGE & WOLVERHAMPTON

I currently teach weekly belly dance classes in Wolverhampton and Aldridge. Both classes are friendly and welcoming, with beginners and dancers with previous experience welcome. The classes run in blocks of 6 week sessions that really allow us to dig into a topic, theme or sometimes, a choreography. Below more info for each class location:

WHICH CLASS IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Both classes are usually in sync as regards content, so location is probably your main concern. In most cases, just choose whichever is nearer or easier to get to.

FAQ’s

ARE YOUR BELLYDANCE CLASSES DROP-IN FRIENDLY?

Not always. Classes are organised into 6-week sessions called blocks.  New students should join at the start of a new session. If a session is already underway it’s best to wait for the next one to begin. This ensures a positive experience.  Joining in the middle or near the end as a beginner can feel like a struggle and be discouraging.

If you’re not a beginner with some experience and don’t want to wait, get in touch. I might be able to accommodate you but only after assessing your level.

WHAT AGE AND FITNESS LEVEL ARE THESE CLASSES FOR?

This depends on the location.

The Monday class location is not insured for children, and so unfortunately, children cannot join this class. However, the Thursday location is fine for children to attend, but children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

DO I NEED TO HAVE DANCED BEFORE?

No. No experience is necessary.

WHAT LEVEL ARE THE CLASSES?

At the moment, all classes are beginner level. Intermediate classes will probably come in the future.

HOW LONG ARE THE CLASSES?

Classes are an hour long.

WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CLASSES?

Each class includes a warm up, technique and drills, a fun combination, a social or improvisational exercise, and a cool down. We also touch on topics related to Egyptian dance styles, music, history, culture, etc, as it is important to place the dance within its context.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Many people worry about showing their belly but you don’t have to.  You can choose not to show it if you prefer.  The key is to wear comfortable clothes that allow for easy movement.  Bare feet, socks, or dance shoes are ideal footwear; trainers can be cumbersome.

In class, we use coin belts or hip scarves. If you have your own great! But you can also borrow one.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING WITH ME?

Bring some water with you just in case.

HOW DO I PAY?

If you are a new student, choose your location, and then click the “Book a Trial Class” button. Returning students will choose the “Book Your Session” button at the appropriate location. A popup will then appear that will guide you through to checkout. You have the option to pay using Stripe and Paypal, as well as the Pay Later option—which will allow you to at cash at the class if you prefer.

CAN I JUST BUY A SINGLE CLASS?

The single class option is only for new students who want to try out a class to see if they would like to commit. Returning students must buy a full session pass.
